Bio

Peer Fischer received a BSc. degree in Physics from Imperial College London in 1995 and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge in 1999. His thesis work concerned the nonlinear optical properties of chiral media. Prior to joining the Rowland Institute, he was a visiting scientist at the European Laboratory for Nonlinear Spectroscopy in Florence, and a NATO Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University. His research interests are in the optical, magnetic, and electric properties of matter with a particular emphasis on chiral molecules.
