The Raayai laboratory’s focus is on investigating the response of fluid flow to complex geometric boundaries such as textured surfaces and arrays of objects. Inspired by natural cases like ribs on shark scales and flight formation in pelicans, we aim to understand the interplay of geometry and flow dynamics, and utilize this understanding in designing and fabricating energy-efficient surfaces for various hydro- or aerodynamic applications.
