Former Directors

The Rowland Institute created the role of Director in 1991, after Edwin H. Land died. Our founding Director was Phil Dubois who served in the capacity from 1992-1997. Typically, a Harvard faculty member serves as Director. The role has evolved to oversee the Institute at large, and specifically, the Rowland Fellow program.
